Tourism Industry
The Great Western Tiers Tourism Association is a non-profit membership organisation which actively pursues growth in visitor numbers to the Great Western Tiers region.
Membership of the organisation is not restricted to the tourism industry, with a range of retail and other services supporting the organisation.
Over the last few years GWTTA developed a strong brand for the region: "Find Yourself in the Great Western Tiers", which is visibly identified by both a banner and logo as appropriate. Tasmanias Regional Forest Agreement funds provided promotional material including a new regional brochure, posters, promotional cube and a limited number of information stands. Now the industry is paying its own way with updates of the regional brochure and other promotional material including this web site.vided advertising funding administered by Council and the Association. This money was used for print advertising and a television campaign.
The Great Western Tiers Visitor Centre is a Tasmanian Visitor Information Network (TVIN) service which promotes all areas and businesses within the Great Western Tiers Region (Meander Valley Municipality), as well as assisting with enquiries and bookings throughout Tasmania.
In addition to the benefits of promotional activity undertaken by the association, members will have the following extra benefits:

Get-together networking evenings to allow ideas and feedback to and from members;
